With a cat, a dog and hardwood floors throughout our house, it seemed like the perfect solution to keep the floors clean. I found that you had to sweep dirt into a pile, then use the side of the broom with the hole to ensure suction. It was easier to get out the dust pan. This is NOT IDEAL FOR PET HAIR. It will sweep it, but will not vacuum the pat hair. By Ohio Mom I recently purchased the Dirt Devil Brum Vac. I took it home and couldn't wait to use it! My initial thought was it looked really cool and seemed easy to use. I put it together and had a bit of trouble assembling the handle. You have to push in the handle pretty hard, but it will click. I charged it up then went to town.
