I used the machine for a solid 45 minutes while vacuuming my house two floors - including stairs - one of the best parts is that this machine is not much heat as other "bagless" vacuums that I bought in the recent past (which were removed garbage!). I could see that the vacuum is made from the dust and dirt that was getting into the dirt cup. My house has all hardwood floors with a "mud" shoot to the input of several. The vacuum works great on wood surfaces and also did a good job in fine slip mats entry. Assmebly was easy ... literally. The vacuum is very light, which is a great advantage to prevent scratches on wood. This vacuum also has a very quiet motor - you can actually hear the phone and / or the doorbell while running the vacuum cleaner! Although I am satisfied with my purchase and think this is an amazing little machine, I have a couple of "cons", but nothing that would have me change my mind on this album, I had known in advance to buy .. (1) the cord is very short, but hey ... that's what extension cords are for, and (2) I used to have that little "hang up" the hole in the handle to vacuum to the vacuum of a tool rack to cancel - this vacuum is not the function.
